Global Economy: A Changing World

The disastrous consequences of the neoliberal economic model designed by imperial ideologists to control the world are yet to come.
But the popular forces that denounce and struggles to avoid a control of the so called market laws on the will and intelligence of the peoples are also yet to come.
Struggles that are part of memorable moments, for example, the extensive and intense days of analysis in the search for solutions held in Cuba against the irrational debt of Latin America and the rest of the Third World in the 1980´s.
The crusade for a just economic world, alongside the destructive and damaging role of neoliberal theories and the authentic rejection of its implementation has a lot to do with today´s world.
The economic crisis is sinking a good part of the powerful nations, while more developed nations are uniting forces each day to create its own commercial, financial and integration mechanisms to overcome the vestiges of capitalism.
That is why groups like the Bolivarian Alliance for the People of Our America, ALBA was created precisely in Havana in 2004 not only to push forward regional unity on the human, solidarity basis and economist justice, but the mechanism is aimed at executing projects like installing one currency in the region called SUCRE.
The regional institution also urges for the creation of a bank destined in moving the entity away from pressures and blackmails from imperial backed financial institutions like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, preferential instruments in the implementation of neo-liberalism.
That is why the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR), or the recently created Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) plan to also have their own financial entities to avoid the imperial monetary
Tendencies to find each nation´s own solutions continues, for example the recent concluded BRICS summit, made up by Brazil, Russia, China, India and South Africa, the most powerful emerging economies also began studies to create its own bank.
We must highlight the importance of BRICS in the world economy these days, responsible of the over half of the production of goods and services on the planet.
The efforts of honest people regarding economic and financial independence in respect to the traditional powers begin to show important results and Cuba has been an active piece in its capacity in calling out the attention on the issue in favor of the world´s majority.
