Claim for Release of Cuban Five Gets as Far as to the Antarctica
Moscow, April 19.- A group of Russian explorers set a Cuban flag and a banner in the Antarctica demanding the release of the five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters held in the United States.
The public will be able to see the photos of this event, the coordinator of Russia´s Committee for the Freedom of the Cuban Five, Lena Loshkina told Prensa Latina news agency.
Meanwhile, the Venceremos social movement is staging a demonstration in front of the US embassy in Moscow as part of the five-day campaign for Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labañino, Fernando Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero and Rene Gonzalez, internationally known as the Cuban Five.
The social movement sent letters to Washington demanding the return to Cuba of the five Cubans, and by the end of this week, several activities have been scheduled with declarations on the case, Lena Loshkina said. (Taken from RHC).
