Haitian Prime Minister Meets Cuban Ambassador in Port au Prince
Port au Prince, Jun 25.- The Prime Minister of Haiti, Laurent Lamothe, met with the Cuban Ambassador to Port au Prince, Ricardo Garcia, to review the current state of cooperation between both neighboring states.
During the meeting, the Haitian dignitary praised Cuba’s collaboration in the fields of health, education and iron and steel industry, and said his government was extremely satisfied with the work carried out so far.
The government officials also discussed issues related to the literacy campaign to be launched by the government of President Michel Martelly, aimed at teaching how to read and write to some five million people within a five years period. (RHC).
