Cuban Parliament President to visit Namibia Next Week
Windhoek, Jun 25.- President of Cuba’s National Assembly Ricardo Alarcón de Quesada will pay an official visit to Namibia next July 1-5, as informed by the Namibian Parliament.
According to the Namibian newspaper New Era, Alarcón´s visit will reciprocate that of Namibian Parliament Speaker, Dr Theo-Ben Gurirab, to Cuba on May 2008.
During his four-day visit, Alarcón will hold official talks with his Namibian counterpart, Gurirab, with whom he will review the state of bilateral relations between both legislative bodies and ways the strengthen the existing links of friendship and mutual cooperation.
He will also pay a courtesy visit to the Head of State, Hifikepunye Pohamba, and Prime Minister, Nahas Angula, and will further address a Joint Session of both Houses of Parliament on Tuesday in the National Assembly. (RHC).
