Syria: Bomb Blast Hits Palace of Justice Hours after Attack on TV Channel
Havana, Cuba, Jun 29.- A bomb blast hit the parking lot of Damascus’ Palace of justice, hours after another terrorist attack was carried out Wednesday against the Syrian al-Ikhbariya SatelliteTV headquarters, where three journalists were slain in cold blood.
According to the Syrian Arab News Channel (SANA), Thursday’s terrorist action left three people injured and damaged two dozens of cars in the parking lot. A second blast was caused by the explosion of a car in the place, the agency adds.
Following the blast, SANA took statements from local citizens, who strongly rejected the attacks and noted that Syria will remain strong, as they called for the cease of such criminal acts.
On Wednesday, a terrorist attack against the Syrian al-Ikhbariya Satellite Channel resulted in the killing of several media workers. The action was described as the worst massacre against journalism and freedom of the media by Information minister Omran al-Zoubi.
The minister said that European, Arab and International organizations were behind the criminal action. "Those who committed this crime carried out the decision of the Arab League Council to silence the voice of Syria," He said as cited by SANA. (ACN).
