Raul Castro Returns to Cuba
Raul Castro Havana, Jul 14.- Cuban President Raul Castro returned home on Friday night after official visits to China and Vietnam, and a working visit to Russia, local media reported on Saturday.
On its front page, Granma newspaper highlighted the Cuban president's arrival after busy and successful days in the three countries.
Raul Castro was accompanied by Cuban Council of Ministers Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla.
"Over ten days of lots of work concluded, in which we once again confirmed the strength of the historic ties that join Cuba with the three visited countries, as well as the unquestionable willingness to improve the relations of friendship and cooperation that currently characterize us," says the note published in the Cuban Communist Party's official daily.
Raul Castro and his accompanying delegation were welcomed in this capital by the first vice president of the Council of State and the Council of Ministers, Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, and the vice president of the Council of State and minister of Interior, General Abelardo Colome Ibarra.
Radio and television news programs also broadcast the news about Raul Castro's return to Cuba. (Prensa Latina)
