Camagüey’s Theater Company to Perform in Havana
Camagüey, Jul 23.- Camagüey’s La Andariega Theater Company has among its summer options a set of performances in the Cuban capital, an opportunity to show the young talent cultivated in the city of Camagüey, especially in the performing arts.
The company will present the play “Duérmete mi niño” (Sleep, baby, sleep) in the Bertolt Brecht café theater located in Vedado, Havana on August 3, 4, 18 and 19, always starting at 11:00 AM.
The play is about a television program searching for a storyteller with given qualities. What will happen next to each of the characters is a question the public attending the Camagüey group’s play will have to find out.
Under the artistic and general direction of Luis Orlando Antúnez, known as Bambino, the artistic show has been created for a general audience, allowing the whole family to find contact points with their different realities.
Founded on March 23rd, 1996, La Andariega Theater Company is made up of some 40 children and nearly 20 youngsters. It premieres three plays every year, its repertoire oversteps the 30 plays and it works over four aesthetic lines, Camagüey news media stated. (Daymaris Taboada Moreno/Radio Cadena Agramonte).
