Cuban Province, Host of National Celebrations, Exposes Achievements
Guantanamo, Cuba, Jul 24.- The July 26 Expo, a synthesis of the territory's social economic results, remains open today here in this province, venue of the main activities on occasion of the National Rebellion Day.
With those celebrations, the country pays tribute to the young people that, on July 26, 1953, attacked the Army garrisons in the eastern cities of Santiago de Cuba and Bayamo, in a bid of defeating the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.
The exhibition reflects the achievements in production and services, in areas such as economy, public health, education, sciences and protection to environment.
Advances in food production, such as those in aquaculture fishing or agricultural work in the Caujeri valley, baptized by the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, as an agricultural setting, are present in the exhibition. (Prensa Latina).
