La Comarca Presents Play of Shadows in Camagüey

Camagüey, Aug 18. – The play titled “Andando por la sombrita”, by theatre group La Comarca will be presented this weekend in the city of Camagüey as a recreational option for the local audience in the current summer season.  

The staging will be in the venue of El Guiñol theatre company, which is located in the historic core of this city, proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  

Luis Montes de Oca takes the responsibility of being the general director of the staging, which due to its many resources of expression rapidly draws the spectators’ attention.

The actors of La Comarca take advantage of the very old technique of  manipulating the shadows to tell stories, being children the main characters of a play, that the critic has deemed as “simple, but beautiful”.

“Andando por la sombrita” is one of the plays chosen to represent Camaguey province at the XIV National Theatre Festival, that will be held September 8-15 in this city, permanent venue of this event. (Daymaris Taboada Moreno/Radio Cadena Agramonte).
