Workers Advocate a More Active Role of Labor Movement in Cuba’s Development

Camagüey, Oct 14.- The leading role that should play the labor movement in the economic transformation underway in Cuba was one of the most hotly debated topics during a meeting key leaders of the Cuban Worker's Central Trade Union (CTC, for its acronym in Spanish) held with provincial delegates to this organization 20th Provincial Assembly, slated for October 17-18.   

In the meting, participants gave details on the agenda of the upcoming Assembly which will be held at the Candido Gonzalez School of the Cuban Communist Party.

Attendees also discussed about the need to improve the professional preparation of trade union leaders and the role of the working class in facing up social indiscipline. (Pablo Cabero Viamontes/ Radio Cadena Agramonte).
