Raul Castro and Daniel Ortega Highlight Excellent Bilateral Relations
Havana, Mar 3.- Cuban President Raul Castro has met with Nicaragua´s President Daniel Ortega, who is on a working visit to Cuba.
The meeting was held Thursday afternoon, justa few hour after Ortega´s arrival in Havana.
Cuban state television reported that both heads of state discussed the challenges both countries are facing amid the complex international situation, and tackled other issues of regional and multilateral interest.
The meeting reaffirmed the excellent state of relations between Cuba and Nicaragua, the Cuban TV prime-time news reported.
Cuba´s First Vice President Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, and Nicaragua's People´s Power Council chairwoman and First Lady, Rosario Murillo, attended the meeting. (PL)
