Cuba and Azerbaijan Hold Intergovernmental Joint Commission
Havana, May 19.- Cuban Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Ricardo Guerrero Blanco arrived in Baku, Azerbaijan to take part in the Second Session of the Cuba-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Joint Commission.
Guerrero was welcomed by Dr. Nazim Samadov, the Azerbaijani secretary for the Joint Commission and head of International Organizations and Programs at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Also present at the reception were Cuban Ambassador to Azerbaijan Marcelo Caballero Torres.
Both countries will review existing cooperation in technical development, trade, sports and culture, among other areas of mutual interest, informs the website of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During his stay, Guerrero will also hold talks with the ministers of Culture and Tourism, Health, Sports and Energy, and will visit places of historic, economic and scientific interest. (AIN)
