Conference on Gender, Family and Society in Camagüey
Camagüey, Jun 11.- Since Wednesday and until today the Eleventh Conference on Gender, Family and Society is being held in this Cuban city, under the auspices of the Social Sciences and Humanities School at the University of Camaguey.
Aside from Cubans, delegates from Argentina, Canada and Spain are attending this Conference in which the strengthening of the family values is the main subject of discussion.
Three work commissions will debate issues like family violence, heritage, culture, history and community, whereas there will also be spaces to broaden society-related concepts.
M.Sc Zulenni Kindelán Arias, legal advisor of the National Center for Sex Education and an expert on Civil and Family Rights matters gave the opening lecture.
This theoretical event also included a manual art contest dubbed Mariposa, which was held yesterday at Amalia Simoni Coutry Estate Museum. (Aramís González Cruz/Translated by Gualvers Rosales Sanchez/Radio Cadena Agramonte).
