Camagüey Ratifies Loyalty to the Socialism
 Camagüey, Cuba, Jul 21.- Cubans are fully convinced that Socialism is the path to continue, as the only way to guarantee a better future on the basis of common endeavour and equality of possibilities, without distinction of race or sex.
Young people of the generation of the centenary of the birth of Jose Marti, who led by Fidel Castro assaulted the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks on July 26, 1953, fought intensively to achieve this route.
Continuity of this legacy was ratified, on behalf of Camagüey people, by settlers of the municipality of Vertientes, who this Thursday celebrated the provincial commemoration of the National Rebellion Day.

Still moved by revolutionary fervour that this morning filled the 26 de Julio Square, Marilín Lisa Figueredo, specialist of the Municipal Directorate of Social Workers, expressed that “we are proud that so important historical event has been commemorated here, where economic questions, such as production of sugar and rice, made progress. Now, we have to sustain these successes”.

Jorge Luis Ariosa, director of the educational center Noel Fernández, has similar opinion.
“As Julio Cesar García Rodríguez, secretary of the Cuban Communist Party in the province, expressed, we must concentrate on the control of resources because this is our main realm of action, what is an unavoidable commitment for society development and preservation of social conquests reached during more than half a century”.

Belkis Cartaya Rondón, colleague of Jorge Luis, ratifies opinion expressed by her brother in arms and she adds that for these reasons “we have to be more and more efficient in the work that we carry out. It is also necessary to raise quality of services and to increase food production.

On behalf of more young people, Vanessa Triana Morales thinks that they have to honor the example of the Heroes of the Moncada from workplace.
Educators, social workers, art instructors, medical doctors, sportsmen, engineers and newspapermen are professional that before 1959 were an authentic figment in Vertientes, where beggars and unemployed men were swarming.
After 52 years of Revolution, in this portion of the legendary province of Camagüey, territory that Ignacio Agramonte watered with his blood, palpitates of “small engine” that on July 26, 1953 put in motion the “big engine” to construct Socialism in Cuba, are still present.
