WBC: Cuba to face Mexico in elimination game

Havana, Mar 16.-  Team Mexico fell to Korea 8-2, and will be Cuba’s rival tonight in an elimination game, corresponding to the second round of 2009 World Baseball Classic, in San Diego, California.

In a previous game played in Mexico City as part of the opening round, the Cubans defeated the Mexicans 16-4 in a seven-inning, mercy-rule game.

For tonight’s crucial game, Mexico will presumably send Atlanta Braves Jorge Campillo to the mount, while Santiago’s Norge Luis Vera will start for Cuba.  (AIN).
