Folkloric Group of Cuba to Perform in Caracas
Caracas, Mar 10.- The National Folkloric Group of Cuba will perform in Caracas, Carabobo and Zulia, as part of a cultural cooperation agreement between the two nations.
With a performance called The Root and Time (La Raiz y el Tiempo) the group will perform some dances dedicated to the deities that represent the force of nature.
The Yoruba people brought us their believes, food habits, and have left a big influence in the Cuban culture, said artistic director Manolo Micler, according to a report of Venezuelan News Agency (AVN).
The performance includes dances such as Mambo, Danzon, Salsa, and Rumba.
The Folklore group will perform Rios Reyna Room of Teresa Carreño Theater in Caracas on Sunday, in Zulia on March 41, and Carabobo on March 17. (Prensa Latina).
