Havana, Cuba, Sep 18.- Taking into account the severe damage caused by Hurricane Irma and the positive experiences gained during the recovery of Hurricanes Sandy and Matthew, the Cuban Government decided that the State budget will fund 50 percent of the price of construction materials to be sold to people affected with the total or partial destruction of their homes. For these purposes it is indicated that:
Hanoi, Sep 15.- Material aid worth $150,000 USD has been delivered today by the Thai Binh Trade and Investment Corporation to the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam to help mitigate the damage caused by Hurricane Irma.

Havana, Sep 9.- Hurricane Irma has continued to plague the central region, and has reduced its maximum winds, which are of 205 kilometers per hour, for what is now category 3 on the Saffir-Simpson scale, but continues to be an intense hurricane. Irma moves across the seas to the north of Villa Clara province, where it has generated hurricane-force winds in its northern half and the winds influence throughout the national territory.
Esmeralda, Camagüey, Sep 9.- The municipality of Esmeralda was the most affected in the province of Camagüey before the hurricane Irma passed through here at midnight on Friday, September 8.
