Devastating, apocalyptical, painful, sad … I’m simply running out of words to describe the earthquake that hit Haiti twelve months ago. The conditions in that country were already precarious, and after the January 12th catastrophe the future of that people seemed to have been sealed: a long lasting desolation.
Havana, Cuba, Dec 17.- The first Cuban therapeutic vaccine to treat advanced lung cancer, the only one registered in the world for this type of malignant tumor, has been extended primary health care in the country.

The attention to people with mental or physical disabilities in Cuba shows satisfactory results. Since February 5, 2004, the Jardin de Sueños Horse Therapy Center has been running in the Cuban central province of Camagüey, where children with disabilities receive specialized treatment, and a lot of love.
