Cuba, Oct 13.- Almost 60 years after its implementation, the United States blockade policy against the Cuban people is intensifying, in a context of heightened tensions impacting on the progress achieved by the two countries in the diplomatic sphere.
Havana, Oct 4.- US Senator Patrick Leahy rejected on Tuesday through Twitter Washington’s decision to expel 15 Cuban diplomats from its Embassy in DC, action which he characterized as a reprisal.
From April 2016 to March last, the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba caused economic damages to the agricultural sector amounting to more than 260 million dollars.
Washington, Sep 14.- A standing-room only crowd at Howard University broke into prolonged and enthusiastic applause Wednesday evening when Miguel Fraga, second secretary at the Cuban embassy in Washington, delivered an impassioned defense of Cuba's sovereignty and its right to self-determination.
July 25.- Mexico’s Cuba Solidarity Movement (MMSC) demanded the United States lift the blockade against the socialist government July 22, during a march outside the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City.
Washington, June 28.- The US Treasury Department has imposed four fines this year on companies of this country and abroad for alleged violations of the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.
Havana, June 27.- The organization reiterated its demand for an end to interventionist actions by the United States “which continually attempts to frustrate the progress of the Cuban Revolution and isolate the nation through a criminal blockade imposed for over five decades”
Brasilia, June 21.- Brazil's Workers' Party (PT) ratified today its unrestricted defense of Cuba's sovereignty and non-interference by the US government in internal affairs in that Caribbean country.
