Camagüey, Sep 14 - The development and organization of the electoral process in Camagüey, and the wide-ranging participation of the people in this stage of candidates' nomination were highly valued by member of the National Electoral Commission (CEN) Juan Mendoza Díaz during a haul around several municipalities of the province.
On visits to Sibanicú, Guáimaro, Santa Cruz del Sur and Camagüey’s administrative center, the electoral authority ascertained the arrangement, schedule compliance and accomplishment of the nominating assemblies.
Besides, he shared with neighbors of several local constituencies, he showed interest in the places where the candidates’ biographies and photos will be set forth and in the conditions of the polling places that will be operating on October.
In the city of Camagüey, Mendoza Díaz visited two out of the five special electoral committees constituted here, structure that has been chosen to get a better organization of the process in this city, the third most populated in Cuba.
The member of the National Electoral Commission extolled the training of those in charge of the task, from the base up to the provincial level and the support and identification of Camagüey’s people with this process, in which the fellow citizens of every neighborhood and community propose and elect those who will represent them at the local government bodies, reserves for the integration of the provincial assemblies and the Cuban Parliament in the next phase of general elections.
