Havana, Mar 31.- The President of the Cuban National Assembly (Parliament), Ricardo Alarcon, met on Monday with his counterpart from Kiribati, Taomati T. Iuta, who is on a working visit in Havana.
According to Granma news daily, Alarcon and Iuta discussed the current state of relations between the two parliaments and the existing cooperation ties between Cuba and Kiribati.
During their stay in the Caribbean archipelago, Taomati T. Iuta and his accompanying delegation will meet with several State authorities and will visit places of economic and social interest.
They will also meet with youths from Kiribati who are studying medicine in the municipality of Sandino, in the westernmost province of Pinar del Rio.
Iuta is accompanied by his wife, Haisa Iuta, and by Parliament member Timon R. Ameri. (ACN)
