Foreign Students Organize A Festival to Salute the Cuban Revolution



Camagüey, Apr 1.- In salutation to the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution and the 85th of the First National Congress of Students summoned by Julio Antonio Mella, youngsters from other friendly nations together with members of the island's Federation of University Students (FEU) organized an artistic festival in the Highest Institute of Medicine in Camagüey.

In the gala, the students expressed their opinions in favor of the Latin American union and for the release of the five anti-terrorist Cubans, unjustly imprisoned in the United States.

The dance “Taquirari”, the Jose Marti Pedagogical Institute theater group, Bolivian troubadour Miguel Rimba, and a Brazilian duet performed in the cultural event showing the most authentic art of their original places.

Officials of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) as well as members of the Provincial Bureau of the Communist Party (PCC) and pioneers of Granma Primary School attended the gala. (Loipa Araujo Hernández/ Translated: Gualveris Rosales Sánchez/Radio Cadena Agramonte).
