Camagüey, Cuba, Oct 30.- Camagüey's folkloric company will give performances in Mexico and Cuban provinces during November, public relations manager Yanara Rodríguez announced today.
Rodríguez told Prensa Latina Camagüey's Folkloric Ballet, whose members excel in technical and artistic preparation, will perform the piece 'Ikú y los muertos' on November 2nd in Acapulco, Mexico.
Once they are back to the island, they will join the festivities for the half a millennium anniversary of the village San Salvador de Bayamo, in Eastern Cuba. They will perform 'Contradanza', 'Con quien sabe no se juega' and 'Nuestra bandera' at Bayamos's Revolution Square on November 4th., she added.
She highlighted this folkloric company, regarded as one of the island's most prestigious of the genre, aims at contributing o preserve Latin American traditions and identity.(Prensa Latina)
