Hackers Steal Data from Millions of Internet Users

Washington, Dec 5.- At least 2 million usernames and passwords in social media websites, including Facebook, Google, Twitter and Yahoo from Internet users across the globe, were stolen by cyber criminals since last October 21, reported the U.S. media today.

The so-called hackers started collecting the data by infecting several thousand personal computers across the world, CNN Money quoted researchers from cyber security Truswave company as saying.

The virus captured the access credentials to those websites, which were sent to a proxy server controlled by the cyber criminals. (Prensa Latina)
