Washington, Oct 6.- New protests were reported in the U.S. town of Ferguson, Missouri, where today, nearly two months after the murder of a young black man, the white police identified as the perpetrator of the homicide has not been arrested.
Tension persists in this suburb of San Luis County as a group of activists gathered yesterday in a Missouri Church to demand the arrest of Darren Wilson, the agent who shot at point-blank range several bullets at the unarmed African American Michael Brown, on August 9.
'We are urging for the immediate arrest of officer Darren Wilson', stated Carlton Lee, pastor of the Christian Church in Country Club Hills, a community adjacent to the municipality of Ferguson.
According to digital media, Brown's parents attended the rally wearing a t-shirt in which one could read the message 'Arrest him now' on a picture of Wilson.
The Brown family's lawyer, Anthony Gray, stated that those calling for the arrest of Wilson are not anti-policemen, they just want justice.
So far the questioned Police Department has only presented its apologies to the family of the boy, weeks after the tragedy. 'An apology would be seeing Darren Wilson with handcuffs, processed and charged with murder' they pointed out.(Prensa Latina).
