Havana, March 20.- In an eloquent demonstration on cultural and linguistic diversity, the Belgian program for the celebrations for Francophone Week in Cuba stood out for its association with cinema and comic strips.
With the support of the Belgium's diplomatic mission in Havana, the meetings organized until March 26 will be aimed at furthering the plurality and different modes of expression of a 84-nation community.
The Cuban cartoonist Alexander Izquierdo´s exhibition, one of the first graduates from the workshops given by Belgian strip cartoonists will be inaugurated on March 23, at La Vitrina de Valonia.
Several plates of the book Rosa de La Habana (Havana´s Rose), authored by Izquierdo, scripted by Duchy Man and edited by Mosquito French house in 2016, lead the exhibition in the patrimonial house-museum that will be also including Alexander Izquierdo´s most recent works, including the unpublished works of his character Super-AlexMan.
The venue will host the lecture on heritage to the comic strip on March 25 by Belgian artist Etienne Schréder, who will share her insights on how to fiction reality. (Prensa Latina)
