Havana, Jun 21.- The National Symposium on Primary and Family Health Care will be held on June 27th and 28th with foreign participants to improve the quality of services, said organizers today.
The event, which also seeks to strengthen primary health care to provide the Cuban population with greater satisfaction, will be attended by representatives from the United States and Spain, said organizers in a press conference.
President of the organizing committee Lilia Gonzalez told the Prensa Latina news agency that the event will tackle changes in the national system of health (SNS), training of human resources and quality services.
Gonzalez said that the symposium will also seek to update doctors and nurses´ program to recover the basic concepts, as well as organization, financing, efficiency and sustainability of SNS, amid other subjects.
'General practitioners of the community have work consciousness in their genes and we are interested in human solidarity, both in our country and abroad', said Gonzalez. (Prensa Latina)
