Havana, July 6.- The 18th edition of the cultural fair Arte en la Rampa (Arts at La Rampa) begins today at the cultural center Pabellon Cuba, in this capital, with the participation of more than 100 exhibitors.
The event, to be run until September 3, will focus on the promotion of the Cuban cultural and craft values that make the Cuban productions of goldsmiths, ceramists and saddlers special.
Organized by the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets (FCBC), the Hermanos Saiz Association (AHS) and a dozen other entities, the event will bring together the sale and exhibition of the work by outstanding craftsmen along with the performances by Cuban music artists, dance, visual arts, literature and theater, among other activities.
AHS president, Rubiel Garcia, stressed that the Fair has been rethought as an inclusive space, as in addition to the marketing of different products, those attending the Pabellon Cuba can also enjoy concerts, exchanges with relevant artists and intellectuals, launching of books and screening of film.
The fair will open today at 14:00 local time, and the opening ceremony of a collective exhibition of young art, to which the current version is dedicated, is expected some few minutes later. (Prensa Latina)
