Mexico, Oct 16 .- The Association of Cuban Residents in Mexico, the Mexican Solidarity Movement (MMSC) and the Cuban Embassy in this country on Sunday condemned the unjust U.S. blockade of Cuba and the new threats by President Donald Trump.
The political-sports event, called 'Hitting the U.S. Blockade with a Bat' was held at the Reynosa Sports Complex, in the neighborhood of Azcapotzalco, in the presence of Cuban Ambassador Pedro Núñez Mosquera.
In statements to Prensa Latina, Aron Arellano, from the Jose Marti Association of Cubans, expressed support from all Cuban residents in Mexico to Cuba's leadership and people, whom they described as heroes in resistance and firmness against imperialism.
For his part, MMSC member Jesús Escamilla noted that Mexicans at heart want an end to the limitations and damage caused by the U.S. blockade of Cuba.
He added that Cuba is the friendliest nation in the Americas and the world, because it has taught us to share what we have and not the surplus,
At the end of the event, a baseball game was held between the red and blue teams, made up of participants in the friendship meeting, and the former won 3-1.
