Havana, Oct 16.- Authorities from Cuba and Norway confirmed the positive development of bilateral relations at a meeting in Havana, the website of the Foreign Ministry reported on Sunday.
The general director of Bilateral Affairs at the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Gerardo Peñalver, met with the director of the Latin America Department at Norway's Foreign Ministry, Kjersti R’¸dsmoen.
The two diplomats expressed their governments' will to continue to boost ties, according to the information published in Cubamirex.
Peñalver acknowledged Norway's support for the resolution submitted by Cuba to the United Nations every year to demand an end to the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States.
The Norwegian diplomat also met with the interim director of the Europe and Canada Department at Cuba's Foreign Ministry, Alejandro Simancas, as part of political consultations between the two ministries.
They also exchanged viewpoints about the main issues on the bilateral and international agendas.
According to the information, the officials noted the favorable development of cooperation and the importance of continuing to promote commercial and economic ties between the two countries. (Prensa Latina)
