La Paz, Nov 23.- Bolivian President Evo Morales today praised the battle being waged by his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolas Maduro, against the opposition in the Bolivarian nation on his 55th birthday.
On his Twitter account, Morales wished a happy birthday to the Venezuelan president and noted the head of State's fight as one of the toughest against the U.S. empire.
The battle that he has waged as a commander and a president against the empire is one of the toughest. Thanks to the Venezuelan people's unity, it has been defeated. A dignified successor of Commander Hugo Chavez, Morales wrote on the social network.
In another Twit, Morales expressed admiration and respect for Maduro and described him as a tireless advocate of the legacy of Liberator Simon Bolivar and Commander Chavez, and wished him that life gave him more strength to continue his work in favor of the humblest.
Maduro, who was born on November 23, 1962, in Caracas, took office as president in charge first on March 5, 2013, after the death of then President Hugo Chavez, and he was elected later for the post in the election held on April 14, 2013.
During his political life, the head of State was appointed speaker of the National Assembly of Venezuela, minister of the People's Power for Foreign Affairs and executive vice-president. (Prensa Latina)
