Camagüey, Dec. 7- Running together, such as the silver in the roots of the Andes, the Camagüey´s youth and those who represent generations of previous stages in revolutionary struggles, paid tribute to the internationalist combatants who died in the line of duty in other lands of the world, today the 28 anniversary of the Operation Tribute.
The pilgrimage departed from the plaza Maceo to the Pantheon to the fallen by the Defense, in the necropolis of this city, a place that holds the mortal remains of the Camagüey´s citizens who have laid down their lives in the line of duty internationalist.
Floral Offerings on behalf of the Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Councils of State and Ministers; of the Camagüey´s people and family members, were in that sacred place of the homeland, where each 7 December is a tribute to the women and men who one day left to settle his debt to humanity and fell in that endeavor.
Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, a member of the Central Committee of the CCP and first secretary of the political organization in the province, along with members of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution, and other leaders of the territory, shared with the relatives of the fallen moments of reflection and commitment around the work that defended with their blood.
Our founding fathers bequeathed to us the conviction of General Antonio Maceo, that "anyone who tries to take over Cuba, you will collect the dust of its soil flooded in blood, but perishes in the struggle"; to it we will be faithful, said Yoandris Ruiz Villalón, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Union of Young Communists, in homage to the fallen in the line of duty internationalist. Pay tribute in Camagüey to internationalist martyrs
Sierra de Cubitas, 7dec. - The heroism of combatants who have laid down their lives in towns brothers was honored today in Sierra de Cubitas, with a pilgrimage to the pantheon of the Fallen by the defense.
The village, next to the main political and governmental authorities of this northern territory, once again reaffirmed the conviction to move forward in the line of duty to preserve the gains of the Cuban Revolution, and fidelity to those who fell in battle for the independence of the fatherland and sister nations.
The presence of the new generations in the solemn ceremony confirmed the validity of the ideas of the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, multiplied in the realization of its concept Revolution and in the values of solidarity and altruism.
The 7 December 1989 took place the Operation Tribute, to pay tribute to the fallen Cuban combatants at all times by the freedom, the date on which Cubans traditionally remember the death in battle of lieutenant general of the Liberation Army Antonio Maceo Grajales and his assistant, Captain Francisco Gómez Toro, a similar day of 1896.
