La Paz, feb 21.- Bolivian President Evo Morales assured today that all families affected by intense rains, and floods will receive guaranteed attention from the government.
In a trip to Pucarani, municipality of the department of La Paz, Morales met with those affected to know and assess the situation caused by natural disasters, also occurred in recent weeks in much of the Andean Amazon nation.
The president said that these natural phenomena are consequences of climate change, an evil that affects not only the country, but the entire world.
Likewise, he corroborated that the five communities and the more than 100 families affected in this region due to the overflowing of three basins will be duly assisted and will have the support of the government to build their houses.
He also pointed out that producers in the region will be provided with seeds to develop crops again, while he recalled the existence of agricultural insurance that compensates with one thousand Bolivians (about 144 dollars) each hectare lost due to hail, drought or flood.
He also indicated that canalizations should be made so that these floods do not happen again or affect the locality. (Prensa Latina)
