A party to enjoy the literature in Camagüey

Camagüey, March 7.- The contagious joy of the children arrived this Wednesday to the Casino Campestre of this city, following the opening of the 27th edition of the International Book Fair in Camagüey, where it is possible to find from books for coloring, until the magic charming Project Carsueños.

A voice invited the children to take the hand of parents and grandparents and take them up there, where the storytellers of the telescope of stories, which during all these days will delight visitors with their stories.

Suddenly, dolls and infants shared space and a striking smile spread in the air: opened its doors the expected children's pavilion, this time with extended hours until 5:00 in the afternoon, with presentations of books will be on sale in that same area.

Omar Gonzalez Catá explained to Radio Cadena Agramonte which, once closed the pavilion, there will be other special presentations and in the evenings, there will always be a different show.

A melodious interpretation a cappella of the original lyrics of the Anthem of Bayamo, by the soloist in Camagüey Teresa Romero, had received the locals just a moment before, in the largest urban park of the country.

The warm morning led to the approach to the Culture of the People's Republic of China -guest country-, through the reading of poems of love of the Asian nation in voices of three exponents of the female literary avant-garde in Camagüey: Evelin Queipo Balbuena, Yoandra Santana Perdomo and Mariela Perez-Castro Basulto.

Minutes later, the Literary Café The Region, from the House of the Young Creator, welcomed the meritorious allusion to the imprint of the Havana Historian Eusebio Leal Spengler, who is dedicated to this edition of the letters, from the words of a colleague and friend, proud of what they call "brother", Jose Rodriguez, director of the Office of the Historian of the City of Camagüey.

"Eusebio has not only transcended in the guild of the national intelligentsia, but he is a well-known person, because he is a man of the people, which has transcended already at the time. To dedicate this fair to a Cuban as Eusebio Leal has been an act of justice," he said.

Rodriguez Barreras also emphasized in the imperative has been the work of Leal Spengler for the conservation and restoration of the cultural heritage, not only in Old Havana, or in the capital of the country, but throughout Cuba, and even to the recognition of the work of the historians and of the existing values in the most unusual communities of our geography, only understood thanks to their work, not as a simple historian, but as active social and cultural entity, a strong proponent of the History of the Greater one of the Antilles.

The importance of how much has been done and promoted was reaffirmed in the workshop  Eusebio Leal in the construction of the national identity, which was followed by the presentation of the book of his authorship La luz sobre el espejo (The light on the mirror), a compilation of speeches, presentations, conferences and interviews that have as their fundamental issues the Cuban history and culture.

Other texts relating to the life and work of Eusebio will be on sale at the stand of Editions Bologna, Signature by the Office of the Historian of the City of Havana, which will be located to the side of the Camagüey´s seal El Lugareño.

Thus the Book Fair began today in this city, with a wide literary tradition and the cradle of great authors such as Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda, Nicolás Guillén, Severo Sarduy and other of these times, as Luis Alvarez Alvarez, 2017 National Literature Prize, who will also receive tribute in this literary festival.
