Confirmed foreign presence in CorHabana 2018

Havana, June 20. - Vocal Groups of Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, Argentina and the United States confirmed their assistance to 13th International Festival of Choirs CorHabana 2018, reported today the organizers.

The meeting will be held from June 26 until June 30 in the Cuban capital, it is dedicated in this occasion to the choral arrangement and to the 90-birthdayanniversary of Electo Silva and 80 anniversary of Roberto Valera, two highest figures of the choral tradition of the Island.

At the festival 27 groups are present, guaranteeing the foreign presence the choirs Infantile CADI CANTEMOS and of Chamber of the University of the Americas of Puebla, of Mexico; Juvenile Feminine Mussa Nova and Vocal Sine Nomine, of Colombia; and the Workshop of Opera of the School of Music of Santa Barbara of Heredia, Costa Rica.

Also they will inform in the appointment the Choir Aldo Maccagno Franco, of Argentina, and Singers Taking Action Reaching Souls, of the United States.

Between the local formations there emphasize in the program the choirs National of Cuba and of Chamber Entrevoces, both directed by the teacher Digna Guerra, president of the festival; and D'Profundis.

In the list they represent, also, the choirs of camerawoman Exaudi and Vowel I read, Ensemble Vocal Moon, Coral Schola Cantorum, Camerata Vocale Sine Nomine, Vocal Sampling and the Infantile National, between others.

Although the concerts are the main course of the festival, the organizers also programmed a series of workshops in which they will turn on the vocal skill for infantile choirs, and the choral arrangements in the Mexican and Cuban music.

CoraHabana 2018 is sponsored by National Center of Music of Concert of the Cuban Institute of the Music, and it will have for head offices to the Minor Basilica of the Convent of San Francisco de Asís, which will receive the inaugural finery and of closing ceremony, Oratorical San Felipe Neri, the Church of Paula's San Francisco, and the National theater of Cuba, between other spaces.
