Uganda Emphasizes the Need for East African Integration

Kampala, Jul 4.- Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni emphasized the need for integration among the countries of the East African Community (CAO).

We are talking about the integration of East Africa to guarantee the prosperity of our people. Economic integration is for prosperity, survive and live a good life, he said. Addressing a delegation of 28 Zimbabwean army officers at the Entebbe State House, Museveni stated that prosperity, strategic security, as well as the heritage and identity of the people of the region are the main objectives of the regional bloc.

We have to ensure our prosperity through the production of goods and services, he said.

Zimbabwean officials conduct a study tour through Uganda to obtain more information and take advantage of the Ugandan experience in dealing with national security issues. (Prensa Latina)
