Two awards for Cuba in international pop music contest



Havana, Jul 17. - The young Cuban singer Rebeca Émbil won two awards at the prestigious World contest of pop music, developed during the XXVII Festival International of the arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus, closed today.

The first recognition was the popularity Prize awarded by the public and the press Assistant to the large auditorium of the tourist city of Vitebsk, said the Agencia Cubana de News (ACN) Alberto Loreydis, Coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean from the festivals of the arts Slavianski Bazaar.

The Grand Prize of the famous Bazaar Byelorussian of musical, theatrical and dance arts was won this year by Romanian Marcel Roszka.

The Mexican Bolero singer, producer and conductor young Rodrigo de la Cadena is the only Latin-American winner of the Grand Prize at the world festival in 2014.

For the first time artists from Guinea, Egypt, Viet Nam, Germany, Armenia and Poland, took part in the contest of young performers of Pop Song of the International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk".

This is also the first time that children between 7 and 12 years of Colombia, the United Kingdom and Canada participate in the child event of this festival.
