La Paz, Aug 13.- Bolivian President Evo Morales highlighted today values such as the courage and solidarity of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, on the 92nd anniversary of his birth this August 13.
'We pay tribute to one of the greatest revolutionaries in history, Fidel Castro, who was born on August 13, 1926,' Morales wrote on Twitter.
In another message on that social media he added that Fidel, with his genius, ability and courage, restored dignity to the Cuban people, defeated imperialism and showed the world what solidarity means.
Born in Biran, currently the province of Holguin (East), on August 13, 1926, Fidel Castro led the Cuban people's struggle against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.
As a result, he led a process of transformation with the triumph of the Cuban Revolution on January 1, 1959.
He promoted collaborative Cuban programs in health and other areas in several countries in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
He also promoted the Third World's battle against the current international economic order, particularly the foreign debt, as well as efforts for the unity and integration of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Fidel Castro, who died on November 25, 2016 at the age of 90, also dedicated his life to the unity of underdeveloped countries and other just causes of the world. (Prensa Latina)
