Managua, Sep 15. The Cuban President, Miguel Díaz Canel, congratulated today Nicaragua on the Independence Day, and ratified the solidarity and support of the island to the Central American nation.
In the 197th Nicaragua's independence anniversary, he sent them congratulations and reaffirmed our solidarity and support, a message that Díaz Canel led to the head of the Nicaraguan State, Daniel Ortega, and the deputy governor, Rosario Murillo.
We have the certainty that the Nicaraguan people, under the leadership of the Sandinista National Liberation Front and yours, you will continue reaping success in the struggle for the peace and the prosperity of that bother nation; added to the text the Cuban President.
Nicaragua, like Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Costa Rica, celebrate Independence Day dates in commemoration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence of Central America from the Spanish colonial domain in 1821.
On this occasion the Nicaraguan people remind the 197th anniversary of this event, in the midst of demands for peace and security, after a failed coup d’état that killed 198 people, according to official figures. (PL) (Foto: Archivo)
