Havana, Sep 17. -A representative of the British Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union initiated a visit to Cuba this Monday in compliance with an invitation made by the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament).
The delegation, made up of members of the Lords and Commons chambers, will wind up its agenda in Cuba on Friday, which includes meetings with national authorities and tours of economic, educational and tourist sites.
The visitors will go to places such as the Special School Solidarity with Panama, the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology and the Latin American School of Medicine.
It is also expected a visit to the Mariel Special Development Zone, located 45km west of the capital in an effort to attract foreign investment to the production of value-added goods and services. (PL) (Foto: http://misiones.minrex.gob.cu)
