Havana, Sept 18. - Inés María Chapman, Cuba’s Deputy President of the Council of States and Ministers met this Monday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey who is on an official visit to the Caribbean island.
Both exchanged on the current bilateral relations and historic ties that united the two nations.They also recalled the friendship of the leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro and Ghana’s first chairman Kwame Nkrumah.The Cuban and Ghanaian officials talked on issues of the international arena.
The Cuban deputy president of the Council of State, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, had previously received the Ghanaian Foreign Minister.
Napoleon Abdulai, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary; Reginald Grand, Executive Director of the Center for Investment Promotion; and Maame Aba Wilmot, the Second Deputy Director of the Bureau of the Americas from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, accompanied the distinguished visitor as well.
