Mexico, Sep 19. -There are currently 483 properties at risk in Mexico City and awaiting demolition, one year after the earthquake on September 19th, 2017, Citizen Collective Nosotros denounced today.
The communities with the highest concentration of affected buildings are in the municipalities of Cuauhtémoc, Benito Juarez and Coyoacán, said the source in a statement, while the city prepares to hold a seismic simulation and pay tribute to the victims of that seismic activity, magnitude 7.1.
It affirmed the buildings are at high levels of risk for those who live there, or transit near them.
Nosotros demanded to the authorities of the city’s government to become aware of the danger that it represents and to implement an effective plan to mitigate or eliminate the risk. (Taken from Prensa Latina)
