Participants Consider MITM Americas in Havana Successful

Havana, Sep 21. -The Meeting, Incentives Travel Market (MITM Americas) in Havana is considered by participants as a success and promoter of greater potentiality for congress, trips and incentives tourism.

The venue was officially concluded this Thursday evening during a dinner at the Cathedral Square, one of the most outstanding tourism sites in the city.

This Friday, in the framework of MITM the First Congress of the Group for the Development of Culture and Tourism in Latin America (ACTUAL) at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba takes place.

Also, attendants have a closing plan for the meeting that includes visits to places of tourism interest of this country, to prove out the bounties and elements as security and kindness of this island’s people.

This meeting of MITM Americas is the third one held in this destination, ratifying the island as an adequate scenario for debates and business opportunities in the world of this kind of trips.

Even during work sessions, organizers announced that the following MITM Americas will return to Havana next year, in the same date, but instead of the Hotel Melia Cohiba, it will have the Hotel Nacional as venue for its history.

MITM is a pioneer fair MICE B2B pioneer and the most influential in the Americas and the Caribbean, such as it is known to tourism professionals. MICE  is the acronym to identify high level tourism meeting.

The meeting ending today gathered 200 professionals, of them 100 international buyers of 27 countries, mostly from Europe, Latin America and the United States.

The two editions held previously in Cuba: Varadero (2004) and Havana (2009) contributed notably to the development of this tourism sector in Cuba.

MITM Americas ( is a significant opportunity, above all when Havana is in the midst of preparing the commemoration of its 500  anniversary (November 16th, 2019).

The sponsoring of this business meeting was the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba, accompanied by the Travel Agency Viajes Ecotur (among others).
