Camagüey, Sep 27. -The young vocalist Annie Garcés will be featured tonight on the Solidarity Square of Camagüey city, as part of a national tour to promote her album sublime soul.
The concert, scheduled for nine o'clock in the evening, will be a unique opportunity to enjoy the melodious voice of one of the young promises of the Cuban music, who has succeeded in linking the trova with symphonic genres.
Her interpretation in the song "Cabalgando con Fidel", by Raúl Torres, showed the public how much greatness and talent this young woman has, always smiling, she studied flute but preferred to sweeten the music with her voice.
Other interpretations, like the "Gracias a la vida", by Violeta Parra, accompanied by the guitarist José Manuel Ordás, show also the talent of this young woman, who was born in the Isla de la Juventud.
It was precisely the video clip of "Gracias a la vida", who took Annie Garcés to Saíz Brothers Association, who granted the scholarship El reino de este mundo, with which the young singer recorded her first DVD Alma Sublime.
The production consists of a selection of Cuban trova themes, among them: La Bayamesa, from the Padre de la Patria (the father of the homeland) Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, Francisco Castillo and José Fornaris; Perla marina, Sindo Garay; Pasión y prejuicio, Noel Nicola; Déjate ver, David Torrens; Río abajo, Tony Avila; Habáname, Carlos Varela; Si me falta tu sonrisa, Liuba María Hevia; No te empeñes más, Marta Valdés, and others.
Surely, those who attend tonight to her concert in the Solidarity Square can enjoy many of these songs. (Dania Díaz Socarrás/ Radio Cadena Agramonte) (Foto: Archivo de ACN)
