Camagüey, Oct 9. -The grand final of the Absolute Provincial Chess Tournament will begin tonight, at the academy José Raúl Capablanca of the capital city, with the participation of seven players.
According to the organizers, the pre-race meeting of the event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the facility, where then the first round of the competition will be played, giving two places for the Cuban semifinal of the science game.
The list of participants is headed by the masterly FIDE Déxter Docampo, defending champion, Jorge Elías and Ladislao Rodríguez, as well as the international masterly Tania Miranda.
To these already recognized chess players from Camagüey are added the talented Manuel de la Paz, Héctor Luis Gonzalez and Diego Santiago, who still are in school age.
