Camagüey, Oct 12. -The team that represented the province of Camagüey in the 58th National Baseball Series was finally ranked 12th, the same position they had in the previous campaign.
The Camagüey players finished the qualifying stage with 19 victories and 26 defeats, to nine games of the first position Ciego de Ávila, and to only four of the eighth position.
Behind the players from Camagüey other provinces were located Granma, holder of the two previous editions, Guantánamo, Cienfuegos and the disappointing team of Matanzas, which after several years on the podium descended now to the cold basement.
For the super round of the 58th National Baseball Series, Ciego de Ávila, Holguín, Las tunas and Villa Clara were directly classified.
The other two positions for that segment will come out of the play off of wildcards that will be dispute by Industriales, Sancti Spíritus, Mayabeque and Santiago de Cuba. (Manuel Moya Suárez/ Radio Cadena Agramonte) (Photo: Archive)
