Moscow, Nov 17. -A Soyuz-FG carrier rocket, launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhsta put into orbit the cargo ship Progress MC-10, which will join within two days to the International Space Station (ISS).
According to the Flight Control Center, this Friday's launch was successful after last October 11th accident.
On that occasion, a failure in the valve system to release the second segment of the carrier rocket that led to space to the manned space vessel Soyuz MC-10 forced to activate the fault mechanism, to evacuate a Russian and an American cosmonaut.
The cargo ship will have to dock on the 18th to the Russian segment Zvezda of the ISS, to carry their two and a half tones of payload, including oxygen, fuel, and equipment to support the space station, mail and feed media.
The special charging device will be maintained until March of the coming year, when it will be expelled into space. (PL)(Photo: File)
