State of the soul, students’ luck

By Yusarys Benito Deliano /Radio Cadena Agramonte.

It does not matter if you are the shy of the classroom, the joker, the applied one, the social media fanatic or the one who is never in class because you are the farandulero; the truth is that you always take the risk of being labeled, for better or worse, if you are a student.

Perhaps, during the academic year you have different classifications; however, being a student will never change and the best thing is that you have a day to celebrate your special condition: November 17th.

And it is worth not forgetting that the date became the symbol of world students in the fight against fascism, for freedom and peace, because that day in 1939, Hitler soldiers murdered young university students in the city of Prague, capital of the then Czechoslovakia.

But in the independent Cuba that we had to inhabit in, there is no doubt that this will be the best stage of your life and there will always be a space to remember the jokes of the funny one in the group, the few hours we share with the missing traveler and the gifts of the singer who comes from the cultural festivals.

With total certainty, the music is in charge of the party in the free moments or before the awaiting of a teacher, the selfies are protagonists even in the "more serious" lessons and accomplices of the papers that go and come like the chat on Facebook.

This stage is unforgettable. Almost everything is easier: the immaturity of the age and the lack of experience justify the irresponsibility and the absence of tasks for the later lesson shift.

It does not matter either if you are no longer a student; this luck comes as a state of the soul and it is impossible not to remember with pleasure those days when we woke up early to "fight" against the irregular transport service.

Never mind, let's leave the books aside and celebrate all in this penultimate month of the year for the good times, the joys, the mischief and the great experience of having been students. (Photo: File)
