Camagüey, Nov 19. -Agents of sale of the Russian tour operator Pegas Touristik appreciated the values of this city as a cultural destination during a tour of familiarization (group FAM) for its main squares, streets, art galleries, hotels and recreational centers.
In statements to the ACN, Tatiana Shnell, tour leading the team of 26 executives of the agency, meant the cultural and historical attractions of the city, one of the first villas founded in Cuba by the Spanish conquerors, on February 2nd, 1514.
The fundamental product that promotes Pegas Touristik is sun and beach, but we are interested in complementing the stay of our clients with excursions to the city, as a way to meet Cuba and its people, said the representative of that agency, with about 50 tourism offices in several countries, mainly in Eastern Europe.
He said that Camagüey, where they began operations six months ago, has had a great acceptance among its travelers, for the opportunities it offers to combine beach, city and nature.
Amelia Antelo Acosta, director of the Cubanacán travel agency in the province, said that the four all inclusive hotels in Santa Lucía pole, receive about 120 customers of Pegas Touristik every 10 days, frequency with which the airline operates the tour operator, in direct flight between Moscow and Holguín.
Travelers move by road to the north of Camagüey, where there is expected to have a gradual increase in the demand of the Russian market, added the representative of Cubanacán, the receptive agency of that operation.
