La Paz, May 1.- The professionals of the Cuban Medical Brigade (BMC) in Bolivia today rejected the coup attempt carried out in Venezuela by the right and expressed their support for the people and Government of President Nicolás Maduro.
'Health workers accompany our president @ DiazCanelB in the total rejection of the Coup d'etat attempt developed in Venezuela, with all our support to the people and the government of President Nicolas Maduro,' said the note written by the Cuban doctors in service in Bolivia.
On Tuesday a small group of military personnel, under the order of the self-proclaimed president in charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, intended to assault the air base of La Carlota.
On Twitter, Guaidó exhorted the citizenship to take the main military units of the country, including that air base.
However, representatives of different sectors of Bolivarian society, including workers and students, gathered in front of the Miraflores Palace (headquarters of the Executive) to repudiate the coup attempt and ratify their support for Maduro. (Prensa Latina)
